Playing Tips
A long par 4 that cannot be taken lightly, and closes the tough opening stretch of holes. The tee shot again leads into an extremely wide fairway. From the tee box you stare at the Lighthouse and will only be able to see the very top of the fairway. This can look rather daunting, but the landing area is around the same width as the 2nd and as long as you avoid a waste bunker on the right you should be safe off the tee. The best angle into the green, however, is from the middle to left-hand side of the fairway, from where you will need to allow for a good amount of release and roll as this green is very firm.
Pro’s Tip: From the tee, use the lighthouse as a perfect directional signpost. Anything left of the lighthouse could be in trouble, so the safer play is to aim 10-20 metres right and play up the wider, fatter side. If playing downwind take at least one club less and attempt to land your ball 10-15 metres short of the green. Let the ball run up onto the green and towards the flag (trust it, it will get there).
